You try it sometime, Dad!!

I'm a girl and biology has not been kind to our kind... and the following isn't exactly leetle-kid-friendly...


So, I've been particularly ornery and sassy the last 2 days because of my period, but I think this banter between me and my father will make you smile. [I admit, I was rather disrespectful to him...]


Dad: Are you eating dinner?

Me: yes, I'm hungry.

Dad: Really? You rarely eat dinner lately.

Me: Well, SOMEONE has been bugging us forever to go get exercise. Working out makes me hungry.

Dad: Exercise? I don't see much..

Me: UGH, Dad! You're doing it again. Just because you don't see something, doesn't mean it didn't happen!! [I proceed to list every major workout of swimming, rock climbing, and circuit training I did this last week, which was DAILY!!]

Dad: But what about today? I didn't see you do anything today.

Me: UGH *throws hands up in air because I was stuck in bed for half the day due to cramps and utter exhaustion* YOU TRY HAVING YOUR PERIOD!!!

Dad: *misunderstanding silence* *nervous chuckle* What? What do you mean??

Me: I said, YOU try bleeding and shedding a placenta!

Dad: *after a few moments of further awkward silence* It's inconvenient being a girl. *almost penitently*

Me: (internally) Ha, yeah, exactly, mister, that'll keep you quiet for a few years. XP
