Some verses I gathered from Bible reading last week:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I thought I'd share another verse that relates to Thanksgiving, even though the holiday is past:
I got a lot done today, even with piano lessons! Thank you Father for giving me the strength and concentration to do so. Thank you for my mother who prayed for me this morning when I felt sickly tired and didn't have strength to do anything.
I love these types of days, when things change for the better early in the day. Here's to hoping the rest of the week is like this!
Blessings,
~CJ
Proverbs 22:4 (HCSB)
The result of humility is the fear of the LORD,
along with wealth, honor, and life.
Psalm 111:10 & Proverbs 9:10 (HCSB)When you are humble, you show or have the fear of the LORD. When you have a fear of the LORD, you're at the beginning of wisdom. My conclusion: if you're humble, you're at the beginning of wisdom.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
However, if you are proud...
Proverbs 11:2a (HCSB)When pride comes, disgrace follows,
No one likes that result.
And what do you know?
Proverbs 11:2b (HCSB)The Bible has the same "conclusion" as I have! And that is my critical reasoning logic for the day. :D
but with humility comes wisdom.
I thought I'd share another verse that relates to Thanksgiving, even though the holiday is past:
Psalm 50:23a (HCSB)When we thank God and make that effort and take the time to do so, we honor Him! This is a verse that stood out to me a couple days ago and I realized there's more to giving thanks to God than I thought. I mean, I know I should do it, but I never connected it with honoring God. Yes, yes, I know when you obey Him, you honor Him. I just have it separated in my mind. But, all the more motivation for me to give thanks to God daily and always. :)
Whoever sacrifices a thank offering honors Me,
I got a lot done today, even with piano lessons! Thank you Father for giving me the strength and concentration to do so. Thank you for my mother who prayed for me this morning when I felt sickly tired and didn't have strength to do anything.
