I’m sad... really, really, really sad. Because today was my last day working as a Research Assistant at CollegePlus! . I know I’ve not even worked there for 5 months, but Bible School and GMAT studies won’t allow a job. :P I’m going to miss working with the best department of the best company … and I’m especially going to miss working for my coach. I mean - I knew she was amazing and brilliant when I was still studying, but wow, her technical, social, etc. skills at work are … mind-blowing. Each time I talk with her, I think, “How in the world did you do that?! And in so short time!! Are you from planet earth?” She is definitely my heroine. :)
But yeah - I have definitely learned a LOT in this last phase and I praise and thank God for it. :)
OH!! I remember what I was going to post yesterday. The 2 songs that I have put on repeat (but on Grooveshark) for the past ~72 hours:

I know - this is horrible that I’m liking rock and rap, but hey, the lyrics make me think and the tunes are somewhat catchy. Up until last year, I have listened to music almost purely because the MUSIC is good. Who cares about the lyrics, especially when I’m trying to focus on school? :P But now, I’m looking for songs with words that will make me think or edify me. Perhaps, I don’t truly enjoy rock or rap, but the words of some songs do stand out. I still love classical music above all others.
And that’s my rant for the day...
NO - not quite. I like it when people get all happy on Buzz. I do NOT, however, like it when I find out why at the end of the day. I feel so out of the loop (not that it’s anybody’s fault that I am).
I’m done! God is great and good and He makes great plans!

I'm pretty out of the loop too, so you're not alone :-) Maybe we should start a Google+ group for "CP out-of-the-loopers"
ReplyDeleteand I listen to quite a bit of rap myself. The lyrics (of the good rappers) are so packed with truth :-)
Haha, wouldn't that just increase the level of "out-of-the-loopness"? ;-) I'm not sure how G+ Groups work though... :-/
ReplyDeleteYES - so packed. There can be a great sermon in 3 minutes!
