Upcoming Plans

I usually give updates, but today, I'm gonna go for a few upcoming plans today...
Lessee...

  1. Organize a Mother's day children's presentation: find a song that the kids can sing for the parents.  My sibs and I just had a performance with our Sunday School kids for Easter, and in my opinion it did NOT go well, but the parents liked it, so we're going to try again.
  2. Go to Maine (!!!): My Dad and youngest sis have wanted to go to Maine for a while to see the breath-taking views, and one of my CollegePlus friends from Maine is having her graduation Memorial Day weekend, so we thought it'd be really convenient to combine the 2 trips.  I'm excited!!
  3. Organize another children's presentation for Father's Day: same idea as the Mother's Day one.
  4. Organize church camping trip: No, I haven't officially been delegated this job, but something tells me our pastors would love to pass this on to somebody else and Mom has given me the okay.  I have a bunch of ideas already and it'll be fun to organize something so big!
  5. This one is a work under progress, but it's actually happening and it is going to be the highlight of my summer - Asis and I are hosting 1-week summer camps at our home(!!!!!!): We've been agonizing over the fact that we get only 2 hours a week with our church kids (5 hours, if they come to our weekly Bible Studies) and we almost hopelessly desired to make a bigger impact on the children.  What better way than to drill discipline into them 40 hours a week?!
Just kidding, we're going to do a little school, a little Bible Study, a little cooking, a little athletics, a little crafting, a little music, and more; basically incorporating fun with solid Biblical conduct, principles, and doctrine.  We sent out a survey 2 weeks ago (yay for Google Forms!) and 16 people responded, both church kids and non-believing piano students alike!  Some of them wanted the camp to last all summer, but that's a little impossible currently.
Lots of planning and prayer is going into that now, as it's a wonderful venue for ministry and perfect opportunity for evangelism!  This is something I don't think people our age usually think of doing.  Even if they do, it's not that appealing, but I think it's a Godsent idea.
Random: I miss my coach and she FaceBook'ed an awesome quote related to planning that I sense will be useful in the next months and my life in general:
Colin Powell says: Strategy equals execution. All the great ideas and visions in the world are worthless if they can't be implemented rapidly and efficiently. Good leaders delegate and empower others liberally, but they pay attention to details, every day.

MASHED POTATOES FOR DINNER TONIGHT!!

P.s. I wonder why when I did Life Purpose Planning, I didn't find the "golden thread" of organization, because it's pretty obvious now!

Internal Emotional Wearing-down

Where I've come from: I have been driven by fear and a desire to please people. I hate that. I thought I could live for my own values and beliefs... but I haven't been able to. Not until this past Sunday. I told my mother off... I was breaking down inside. I have wanted to die for over a year now. Everything seemed hopeless. Not so much for me, but for my purpose and effective work on planet earth. I saw no fruit. I could labor for the rest of my days to live and serve my God. And never ever see the results... and not that I need to see something... but because I knew that what I did WAS POINTLESS. I was doing nothing. And it was because in my mother's eyes, I would never be ready. I would never be enough. She thought she was protecting. She wasn't letting me grow. I can't do more if all you let me do is what is safe. ~CJ

Thankful Thursday XI

Aaaggghhh... I am so behind in the blogging world, like one of my friends says, " it's not even funny. " *sighs*  And I didn't get the chance to blog the Phriday Photos / Funnies - so I'll do a double one tomorrow :) . Anyways - what I'm thankful for this week: 30. BLOGS!!! - I'll admit it. When I first heard the word "blog", I thought the cyberworld couldn't get any sillier.  Well, way to go, CJ. Just join the silliness. Evidently the silliness has its advantages O.O . It's a place for me to rant, rave, and ramble, whether or not my readers want to see it.  It helps me organize my wordy thoughts.  And!! I can share what's been on my mind without having to know if people are looking at me strangely... hehe.  A more serious reason: I can share and read other's testimonies on how God is answering prayers: Answereth All !! *big smile* 31. 2 jobs - It's strange to say my piano teaching is a job, since I really enjoy telli...

Asis: Woah - I just swallowed a ton of food. Jsis: Most people do... Asis: I meant at ONE time!! ________________________________________________________ A 5yo boy from Sunday School comes up to me holding a toy train and says, "LOOK! I am a fixer train . I'm the train that takes broken trains on the track to the fixer factory ." ________________________________________________________ Here's an excerpt from Anne of the Island  that makes me laugh every time I read it: [Anne] "You won't say naughty words, or run away on Sundays, or tell falsehoods to cover up your sins?" "No. It doesn't pay," said Davy. "Well, Davy, just tell God you are sorry and ask Him to forgive you." "Have YOU forgiven me, Anne?" "Yes, dear." "Then," said Davy joyously, "I don't care much whether God does or not." "Davy!" "Oh -- I'll ask Him -- I'll ask Him," said Davy qu...
