I feel like I've been posting a lot recently... *wonders if that's a good thing or not*
I'm gonna see how many "Thankful Thursdays" I can do before... well... before I stop ...
(which I hope I never do until I die, the rapture, or I lose internet connection for an extended period of time; in which case I would continue the ritual on good old paper :) ).
4. Air in its gaseous state - aren't you glad God created air as a gas? I mean, imagine if air was liquid, (i.e. the medium in the atmosphere was all liquid), we wouldn't be able to see things as clearly, we'd all be buff from constant swimming, I'm not quite sure how our lungs would work, and a bunch of other less pleasant things . Solid air isn't possible, because, well, we couldn't move at all. In fact, I'm thankful for all three phases. Even though there are only 3 of them, they sure can make up a lot of variety.
5. Socks - I love wearing socks in the house. In winter, they keep my feet warm. In summer, they make my feet feel... smaller? tighter? I'm not sure :-/ But, socks rock! How inconvenient would it be to have to wear stockings all the time? Oo, and I'm really thankful that socks nowadays are stretchy. Loose socks that keep falling off can get annoying.
6. Language - this one is broad and I may bring it up again. Words spoken; words written; words motioned (i.e. sign language). What would we do without communication? And they have power (will be doing a post on that soon). And the creativity across the languages... the syntax/grammar, the letters/characters, the pronunciation/utterance, the intricacy of it all, makes one stand in awe of the human mind. And God's mind for that matter, when He decided to "confuse" the people building the tower of Babel. I'm really thankful for all aspects of language :) .
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
