*audible sigh*
So much to say... and that's not a good thing :-P . Let's see how briefly I can do it.
1) I don't think I like scheduled posts that much (i.e. the "Inside-out" one), especially if I planned on doing several in a row but didn't finish a bunch :P . It also gives the wrong impression that I'm online >.< .
2) I did NOT forget my Friday weekly. I had all my pictures uploaded but I didn't get a chance to finish captioning them all.
3) I started my research assistant job early, since I'll be going on vacation soon. So, that took up 14 hours of last week.
4) AND we had a dinner party Saturday night, with 5 unexpected guests (I didn't check my email to see if there were any last minute RSVPs). Pretty much, all day we were prepping food... we didn't even get to eat breakfast or lunch (well, we did get to eat one corn-on-the-cob-on-a-chopstick).
BUT - it was all worth it. Why? Because 2 of my piano students and a sibling accepted Christ as their Saviour!!! It's a beautiful thing, seeing two 5yos and a 7yo pray, asking for forgiveness of past sins and surrendering their lives to the Most High God. Granted, they have MUCH to learn, it was still precious. Afterwards, we gave them Bibles, and tried to show them which parts would be easiest to read. Good thing, they're all genii ;-) .
Please pray I would be able to influence this children positively during the short time I have with them weekly. Also, please pray their parents' hearts would be open and that they'd come to our Bible studies and church services. That would be awesome if the whole families joined the body of Christ! :D
And that leads me to my last statement:
5) I didn't get to finish my Read-a-Thon II on time. I read Acts and Romans on Monday and Tuesday respectively. And then I stopped (red-in-face). So, today (being a holiday) I practically crash-coursed through 1st & 2nd Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, and Joshua. I'll see if I can finish up Judges and Ruth tonight. It'll be a stretch for sure... but one that I greatly enjoy. :-D
Happy 4th of July!
