The eyes of the genii...

My biological clock is still screwed... :-/

*nods head* That's right, CJ is capable of corn-i-ness (sp?)... and looking silly in the process... *points up at subject line*

If you stop following - that's alright, I don't blame you.  But I will warn you - beware of people with weak left eyes... their brains are specially programmed with intelligent content and functions. :)

Sooooo - my mother and sisters and I are working on this interesting theory. Basically, we have many friends, with a "lazy" left eye (the right eye has 20/20 vision, but the left one can barely see or just not very well). We've noticed a golden thread among them and that is - they are all genii! We believe that their left-hemisphere of the brain is so very well-developed, the eyesight in the left eye (or right hemisphere) is lagging behind. I'm going to list a few people who are confirming this hypothesis, soon to be theory ;-) .

One of my mom's friends has an amazing knack with biology and works with plants with an extremely scientific green thumb. Mom says she's insanely intelligent and completed many academic achievements.

There's also a home school mom (dear dear friend) who almost completed 2 degrees in Biology and Chemistry and is just all-around smart (she would have continued in studies if she had not had 4 kids). She always thinks of awesome solutions for difficult problems or situations and is most thrifty with her budget.

Then there's this little girl friend of Jane's - the sneakiest and most mischievous girl with a mind that goes faster than the spokes of Lance Armstrong's bike. She's totally brilliant and doesn't have to "try" to understand her school subjects and is quick to learn. She always thinks of a question you can't answer and gives answers you don't expect and can't get the truth out of.

Fourthly - one of my previous piano students, 10yo kid. This boy can sightread music faster than I can think and was therefore bored with whatever homework I gave him (lol), is crazy savvy with computers, and is pretty much top student in his most of his classes.

No, I'm not done with my list ;-).

And last, but not least - my dear friend - India!!! I can't say all the things she's amazing at, but I will mention the one that most touches an Asian girl's heart :) . No offense, but almost every American (girls especially) I know despises higher mathematics with a vehemence indescribable. And what does my Countess do? She creams the subject in her spare time while enjoying impossible sudoku-calculus puzzles like coloring books. At the end of her Calculus 1 class, she mourns deeply wishing she had the finances for Calculus 2. Someone, please let me know if you find someone else like that?! Thank you.

There - I've gotten a sample from every age group: kids, young adult, middle aged, and elderly.  It's really hard to describe how smart, intelligent, knowledgeable, and genius-like these people are - but they are genii, that's for sure. ;) They just have ... like this ... intelligence emanating from them ... and you don't even always realize it!

Wow - that's a long post... I shall go now :) .

  1. Let me know when it becomes a theory - then maybe I'll wear a bad perscription for my left eye and see if I get smart!

It probably wouldn't work though because my right brain is so far ahead already. What happens when people have a weak right eye?

  2. No no, Mac! It doesn’t work that way; it’s if your left brain is very far ahead that causes deficiency in right eye development. Not deficiency in right eye development that causes extreme left brain development... at least, that’s what our theory says ;-) .
Hmmm, I don’t know about the right eye - maybe - you’re super creative? Hey, that works for you! :-)

  3. So I guess my left brain is doomed then :-( Oh well, it takes both types to make a world! I can do enough left brain stuff to live comfortably, so I'm ok.

Well, I can't remember which of my eyes is worse. The next time I go to the eye doctor, I'll have to check. I'll just tell him I'm doing research for a new theory on brain development ;-)

Internal Emotional Wearing-down

Where I've come from: I have been driven by fear and a desire to please people. I hate that. I thought I could live for my own values and beliefs... but I haven't been able to. Not until this past Sunday. I told my mother off... I was breaking down inside. I have wanted to die for over a year now. Everything seemed hopeless. Not so much for me, but for my purpose and effective work on planet earth. I saw no fruit. I could labor for the rest of my days to live and serve my God. And never ever see the results... and not that I need to see something... but because I knew that what I did WAS POINTLESS. I was doing nothing. And it was because in my mother's eyes, I would never be ready. I would never be enough. She thought she was protecting. She wasn't letting me grow. I can't do more if all you let me do is what is safe. ~CJ

Thankful Thursday XI

Aaaggghhh... I am so behind in the blogging world, like one of my friends says, " it's not even funny. " *sighs*  And I didn't get the chance to blog the Phriday Photos / Funnies - so I'll do a double one tomorrow :) . Anyways - what I'm thankful for this week: 30. BLOGS!!! - I'll admit it. When I first heard the word "blog", I thought the cyberworld couldn't get any sillier.  Well, way to go, CJ. Just join the silliness. Evidently the silliness has its advantages O.O . It's a place for me to rant, rave, and ramble, whether or not my readers want to see it.  It helps me organize my wordy thoughts.  And!! I can share what's been on my mind without having to know if people are looking at me strangely... hehe.  A more serious reason: I can share and read other's testimonies on how God is answering prayers: Answereth All !! *big smile* 31. 2 jobs - It's strange to say my piano teaching is a job, since I really enjoy telli...

Asis: I meant at ONE time!! ________________________________________________________ A 5yo boy from Sunday School comes up to me holding a toy train and says, "LOOK! I am a fixer train . "No. It doesn't pay," said Davy. "Well, Davy, just tell God you are sorry and ask Him to forgive you." "Have YOU forgiven me, Anne?" "Yes, dear." "Then," said Davy joyously, "I don't care much whether God does or not." "Davy!" "Oh -- I'll ask Him -- I'll ask Him," said Davy qu...
